The field of “Mechanically Interlocked Molecules” (or MIMs) are newly emerging field in the Chemistry. Researchers have been preparing supramolecular structures using many methods especially molecular self-assembly process. Recent days, the bottom-top approach is most used method for the researchers in preparation of the huge structural architecture, where smaller molecules have used to form colossal structures which much more efficient compared to other methods. In this project, we have approached to prepare ligands using the small and commonly available organic molecules as the starting material for the preparation of supramolecular structure such as catenanes, rotaxanes and molecular knotsen_US
