dc.description.abstractThe oxidation of hydroquinone by alkaline hexacyanoferrate(III), at constant ionic strength, gave p-benzoquinone. The rate was dependent on the first powers of the concentrations of each reactant. The reaction was via a radical species, characterised by esr spectroscopy as a 5-line spectrum.en_US
