Welcome to the IDR @ NISER, Bhubaneswar
The NISER Institutional Repository has been created by the Central Library, NISER to showcase, organize, share, and preserve the scholarly output of National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar. The Repository is designed to facilitate scholarly communication by providing access to the knowledge resources created by NISER and preserving the same for future generations of scholars. This repository is running on Dspace, an open source software platform, and facilitates its users with advance searching and browsing options.

Single domain magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been a vivid subject of intense research for the last fifty years. Preparation of magnetic nanoparticles and nanostructures has been achieved by both bottom-up and top-down approaches. Single domain MNPs show Néel-Brown-like relaxation. The Stoner-Wohlfarth model describes the angular dependence of the switching of the magnetization of a single domain particle in applied magnetic fields. By varying the spacing between the particles, the inter-p...
Ensembles of single domained ferromagnetic (FM) nanoparticles, in which magnetic interparticle interactions are sufficiently weak, show superparamagnetic (SPM) behavior. However, at increased interactions the system eventually shows collective behavior, which overcomes the individual anisotropy properties of the particles. Different collective states of magnetism were first recognized on so-called discontinuous magnetic metal-insulator multilayers (DMIMs) consisting of focused ionbeam grown C...
A study of proton-proton collisions in which two b hadrons are produced in association with a Z boson is reported. The collisions were recorded at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeVwith the CMS detector at the LHC, for an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb−1. The b hadrons are identified by means of displaced secondary vertices, without the use of reconstructed jets, permitting the study of b-hadron pair production at small angular separation. Differential cross sections are presented as a functio...
Measurements of the differential and double-differential Drell-Yan cross sections are presented using an integrated luminosity of 4.5 (4.8) fb−1 in the dimuon (dielectron) channel of proton-proton collision data recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC at √s = 7 TeV. The measured inclusive cross section in the Z-peak region (60–120 GeV) is σ(ℓℓ) = 986.4 ± 0.6 (stat.) ± 5.9 (exp. syst.) ± 21.7 (th. syst.) ± 21.7 (lum.) pb for the combination of the dimuon and dielectron channels. Differential...
Adopting a mixed action approach, we report here results on hadron spectra containing one or more charm quarks. We use overlap valence quarks on a background of 2+1+1 flavor HISQ gauge configurations generated by the MILC collaboration. We also study the ratio of leptonic decay constants, fD∗ s / fDs . Results are obtained at two lattice spacings.
Using techniques due to Coster, we prove a supercongruence for a generalization of the Domb numbers. This extends a recent result of Chan, Cooper and Sica and confirms a~conjectural supercongruence for numbers which are coefficients in one of Zagier's seven sporadic'' solutions to second order Apéry-like differential equations.
The present study is a bibliometric analysis of research papers of Utkal University published in various research journals of repute which were indexed in Scopus (officially known as Sciverse Scopus) during 2008 to 2012. It also identifies the annual growth of university publication, authorship pattern, author productivity, degree of collaboration, length of paper published, most prolific contributor, prolific institution/ organization, geographical distribution etc.
The present study is a bibliometric assessment of scientific research output of Sambalpur University during the 2007 to 2011. Which describes the growth, contribution and impact of research carried out by the faculty members, researchers or students of Sambalpur University. It also attempts to analyze the growth and development of research activity of the university as reflected in publications output covered by ISI Web of Science during the period under study. The study attempt to ...
We present an overview of the status of the studies related to the phase diagram of strong inter actions through high-energy nuclear collisions. We discuss both the theoretical and experimental status of establishing the various QCD phase structures in the phase diagram, such as, quark-gluon phase, quark-hadron crossover, crossover temperature, phase boundary and critical point.
An unfolding method, based on Bayes theorem is presented to obtain true event-by-event net charge multiplicity distribution from a corresponding measured distribution, which is subjected to detector artifacts. The unfolding is demonstrated to work for widely varying particle production mechanism, beam energy and collision centrality. Further the necessity of taking into account the detector effects is emphasized before comparing the experimental measurements to the theoretical calculations, p...
